Three animal friends. One baby cow in trouble. Can the power of teamwork save the day?
Titus the badger, Finn the falcon, and Shylow the fox are as different as three friends can be. But they all share the same love of sailing. When they spot a lost calf on the distant shore, the three friends paddle over to help find her family.
With no room left on their boat, the friends plan to build a raft big enough for their new traveling companion. But the baby cow won’t step hoof onto the deck until her new ride gets a glamorous makeover. And soon, her design requests leave the friends’ rescue plan spinning out of control. As their quest drifts into dangerous waters, the friends must work together to bring the calf home safe before they are all swept overboard.
The River Raft is a beautifully illustrated children’s chapter book. If you and your children like courageous animals, light-hearted jokes, and imaginative adventures, then you’ll both love Ingo Blum’s charming story. For kids ages 6+

The River Raft Riverboat Series Chapter Books Ingo Blum Tanya Maneki Books Reviews
- This is a great chapter book for kids. The chapters are short enough not loose their interest. The story is interesting so they would want to come back again and again. The words are ones they can already know or figure out with a little help.
Three friends, Finn the Falcon, Shylow the Fox and Titus the Badger, we're looking for an adventure. Three friends, Finn the Falcon, Shylow the Fox and Titus the Badger, we're looking for an adventure. They decided to go for a ride on the river. They heard someone crying for help. It was Emma the calf. She was scared because when she woke from her nap, her family was gone. They had been taken down the river by the farmer. Emma was asleep and got left behind. The friends put their thoughts together and came up with a solitopm. .What could it be? You will get to read the book and see. A chapter book just for your child to enjoy. Amazing.
I found this book for free for an honest review. - Books like this are so informational for children and hold such a wealth of knowledge. I really enjoy reading books, like this one and many others to my children, for if you start them young then they will grow to have a love for reading and adventure!
- I was given this book for free to read and review. This is a chapter book based on a series of children's books by the same author. It is a cute book and it is an ok read. The story is simple and sweet about a calf who gets left behind and needs to be rafted down river by a group of friends. It's a story about friendship, cooperation, and trust. I read it to my grandson and he enjoyed it, but I think he likes the children's version of their books better. It almost felt like it was too long and drawn out so that it could be a chapter book when it didn't need to be. The illustrations are great and though we read the story we will be sticking to the children's books by this author rather than the chapter books.
- I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. I think the story was cute and they illustrations were great. It was a bit disjointed while reading it. My main problem with it though was the emphasis on how much the beaver liked to EAT wood. Beavers do not eat wood. They eat twigs, leaves, the inner bark and other plant materials but not wood. With kids now days they are a lot more "learned" as there are a lot more educational videos out there. It is perhaps a common misconception. I might have overlooked a single mention of it but it played heavily into the story.
- I received a copy of this book from Hidden gems books and have voluntarily read and reviewed it.
This was an easy to follow children's book. The illustrations within were colorful and kept a 3-year-old interested in them. The story itself was simple and focused on three friends helping a little calf find her family. My niece seemed to enjoy listening to the story and looking at the pictures. - There are some formatting issue with repeated text.

Overall enjoyable. There were a lot of big works the kids didn't understand, but they liked the story. - (I was given a free copy of this book to read in order to give a voluntary review). I thought the story was pretty cute over all. My kids thought it was good as well for what we read together. They lost interest about half way through but it's hard to keep a 4 and 7 year olds interest sometimes. I thought the moral of the story was a good one about team work and friends.
- I loved this little story about having friends, getting along and working as a team for a silly, cute project. I loved the characters, Titus, Shylow, and Finn, as well as the full-color illustrations. I highly recommend this book for friendly, smart kids.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
